It was a good day out at the RHS this year. Candy was placed 2nd in her class behind a very good horse so we were pleased, and even better, she behaved impeccably over a long day. She certainly likes the big occasions. With so many horses and so many classes there was a lot of hanging about in the collecting ring waiting for the In Hand Hunter Championship, and even during it when she was getting tired she stood patiently even while older horses were playing up. Then she stood happily at the trailer eating hay and watching the world go by while the rest of the team took turns to have a look around the Show. She was even unphased by the roar of the passenger jets taking off with Edinburgh Airport runway so close.

Jimmy and I had spent Wednesday afternoon helping to set up the Rare Breed Survival Trust stand so it was nice to see some of the animals settled in.
